Echidna P.I.E. Enhancements - October 2014 Announcement
Since Echidna P.I.E. is a new concept and we want to meet your needs and expectations, we've listened to you and made some enhancements to the program. The following email was sent to Echidna Platinum members from Gary Walker at Echidna. I'm reposting it here to answer questions.
What is the Echidna P.I.E.?
P.I.E. stands for Premium Inspiration and Education and consists of 12 x monthly projects covering 12 different embroidery techniques. Created and written by Lindee Goodall, each monthly P.I.E. includes excellent, detailed project and lesson notes in a printable PDF format plus the designs required to complete the project for that month.
What does the monthly P.I.E cost?
For Platinum Club members the cost for each monthly P.I.E. project is only $9.95 for the download option or $14.95 for the CD.
How many and what type of designs are supplied with the P.I.E. project?
Each month, in addition to the design file or files that are required to complete the project, we also include the same design in all sizes. This will vary from month-to-month depending on what the education focus is for that particular month.
Some projects will feature different design styles, such as applique, fill stitch, redwork and even 3D designs. Remember, the aim is to teach different techniques.
For example, September’s education and project focussed on redwork, so for that month we included the redwork designs in all sizes, even though the majority were not needed to complete the project.
What are the design themes?
Lindee has chosen to use interpretative versions of acknowledged Birth Month Flowers and some months these flowers do vary depending on which country you live in. Naturally, our focus is on the Australian varieties, but in order to please as many customers as we can, Lindee also includes the files for the USA birth month flowers which can be also used to complete the project.
So why is there another monthly design pack available?
As mentioned, each P.I.E. includes the designs to complete the project but Lindee has also created a complete set of each monthly flower in the three main embroidery styles – appliqué, fill stitch and redwork.
The complete design pack has a RRP of only $39.95 but our last correspondence offered Platinum Club members this pack at a heavily reduced price of only $9.95 for the download and $14.95 for the CD.
Again, where the birth month flower varies, Lindee has also created both Australian and North American design packs to suit.
Do I need this to buy this additional design pack to complete the P.I.E. project?
No, not at all. You do not need to buy the additional design pack unless you plan to do something with the designs. For example, you may wish to create a beautiful appliqué birth month floral quilt, in which case some months you may need to purchase this additional design pack because the P.I.E. project featured redwork or fill stitch designs.
I hope this explains the Echidna P.I.E. and what it represents. It is all about quality education and inspiring you to try new techniques. In addition to the material supplied, Lindee is always happy to answer your questions and receive your feedback. She can be contacted by visiting her website lindeegembroidery.com
