Whether you are an embroiderer or prefer to digitize your own designs, if you take your embroidery seriously then this book is for you. Written by Lindee Goodall, founder and former owner of Cactus Punch designs, in this easy to understand book, Lindee shares her wealth of knowledge and embroidery experience with you.
The following is how Lindee describes her book:
For Anatomy of a Design, I’ve stripped out most of the digitizing how-to and instead focused on how a design’s stitch attributes affect the design–and therefore your embroidery results. Once you understand how designs are constructed, you can make much better choices about suitable fabric choices, stabilizer selections, and sewing options.
I’ve written it all out and illustrated it. Plus, there are three QuickTime videos embedded in the ebook. You can watch a design sew right on your computer. You can slow down areas and even back up and see things as many times as you need. Students in my classs only got printed outlines–and they paid a lot more.
Note: Windows 10 has discontinued support for Apple QuickTime, which is the format of the embedding videos. Fortunately the videos are not critical to understanding the content and are simple short screencasts of virtual sewouts to display sewing order.
