This realistic rose has 3 shades in the flower plus an outline. Choose a medium for the base color, a dark for the shading (second color) and a light for the highlight. The outline looks lovely in a gold metallic. For an interesting effect, try stitching the redwork version behind this one in metallic or medium gray.
