Up For a Challenge? Check Out This Contest!

A couple of months ago on a webinar with the Virtual Sewing Guild, Linda McGehee, owner of Ghee's, threw out the idea of a bag challenge, which was greeted with enthusiasm. It took a couple of months to work out the details and Linda has already announced it to her list.

Zip to Shape Challenge

Zip to Shape Challenge

The challenge is based on Linda's Zip to Shape bag pattern. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to embellish the bag or dream up a special purpose for it.

The bag is very cleverly designed as a drawstring bag that can lay flat for storage via an innovated zipper placement. There are four sizes from 3.5" x 6" tall to 6.5" wide but 13" tall.

The band offers a nice space for decorating, which can be done with a border print, embroidery designs, free motion stitching, piecing or other fabric technique, beading, or whatever strikes your fancy—this is your primary canvas so knock yourself out!

Two Categories

Two Categories

There are only two categories, but they're wide open. You can enhance the panel with

  1. Any embroidery design(s) from Lindee G Embroidery
  2. Any favorite embellishment or technique

You have to use the Zip the Shape bag pattern and your bag must fall into one of the two categories previously listed.

Easy peasy!

Win Prizes and Get Famous!
