Jump

There are two types of jump stitches. In the first, the Jump stitch is provided to allow a machine to sew a stitch longer than it would normally be able to sew at the given speed. This is performed by a mechanical operation of the machine. The second type of jump is used to allow the machine to move to a new location in the pattern to begin sewing.

Embroidery Tip

  • Never use an adhesive tape on thread to manage loose thread tails. The problem with doing this is that the sticky residue can actually permeate several layers of the thread, causing thread breaks when the thread is used.
