Get Free Embroidery Designs in Your In-Box!
Yes, I know, everyone LOVES free embroidery designs. The tricky part is finding free embroidery designs that are worth sewing, designs that are interesting and well-digitized. Designs that aren’t cutesy clip art that have been auto-digitized and never tested. (Yes, they are out there but you won’t find them here!)
If you are picky about what you add to your stash–and you should be–you’ve come to the right place. Embroidery designs are not like fine wine, they DO NOT get better with age. In fact, they’re likely to get worse as you become more discriminating.
Are all my designs free? Nope! Hey, I gotta earn a living somehow and doing free webinars and providing free designs doesn’t pay my mortgage. My hope is that you’ll like the free ones and check out the others. If you support me, I can continue to add free designs.
Native Format Designs
You’ll also notice that I provide designs in “native format.” What does that mean? It means that in addition to the machine formats, I post the original source file. That means if you have the same software, you can take it apart and optimize the stitch attributes for your fabric or taste.
Currently, I’m using Generations and although most people are attracted to this program because of it’s auto-digitizing features, I use it for “manual punch.” I put that in quotes because today’s version of manual is yesterday’s auto. Just note that I’m not a “magic wand” digitizer!
Would You Like to be Notified When a New Free Embroidery Design is Posted?
The design you see here is the May 2010 free design. If you’d like to be notified whenever a new free design is posted, just subscribe to my newsletter. You can do that by filling in the form in the upper right hand area of most any page.
What else is in the newsletter? Things like upcoming events, links to interesting embroidery related articles, current promotions, new product announcements.
Members Area
Well the members area is still not ready for prime time, I’m afraid to say. Please do sign up although it’s likely you won’t see anything in there yet. Once it is ready, the free designs will be moved there and you’ll need to be a member to get access. Will the free designs be otherwise available? Not sure, haven’t figured that one out. Possibly for a short time. If I could just clone myself… (Free designs don’t pay for staff either.)
What’s the value of being a member? In the future, you’ll have access to otherwise restricted goodies and specials offers on new releases. What’s it cost? Nada. Zip. Zero. Nuthin’ honey.
When will it be live? Dunno. Not sure what the gestation period is on these things. In other words, when I get it figured out. (They said it was easy!) The way it’s supposed to work that the longer you are a member, the more content you will have access to. Who knows how it will evolve over time.
