Embroidery Made Easy Live Events Tour 2009
Which stablizers to use? Which threads? What about needles? How do I hoop? How can I tell if a design is any good? How do I make my own designs? Do I really need a college degree to embroider or digitize?
If these questions about machine embroidery have flitted through your mind, if you’re feeling baffled, or overwhelmed and it seems like the fun is being sucked from your creativity, come join us while we sort it all out and make sense of all those products, techniques, and theories.
Machine embroidery can be fun and easy! Even creating your own designs is not hard with new software innovations. We’ll show you how at this series of live events in California and Phoenix in November, 2009. You’ll be simply amazed at how much you’ll learn in three hours! Watch this excerpt from a past event:
Three industry experts share their expertise in these sessions: Ken Mulqueen will talk about embroidery supplies (threads, needles, and stabilizers) and techniques, I’ll talk about designs and how they’re constructed, and then Leanne Church will pull it all together and show how easy it is to create your own designs.
These events have been a huge success in the U.S. and Australia. Last November I did a series of them throughout Australia and this year, my lovely (and lively) Aussie friend Leanne Church is coming here to contribute her expertise.

About the Quilt in the Video
I saw this quilt at a show and instantly fell in love with it. I never imagined at that time that it would one day come to hang in my home. Designed by Shar Jorgensen and hand quilted, it is an incredible piece of work and I am absolutely mesmerized by the workmanship it displays.
