  • Do you have enough thread left on that spool to finish your project? Industry experts calculate that the average length of each stitch in embroidery designs is about 4-5 mm. Based on this average, 22 yards of 40-wt rayon equals 4,000 stitches. A 250-yd spool can produce roughly 4,000 stitches.
