Cording

This technique requires a special device which attaches to the sewing head. This device feeds a large diameter yarn or cord under a needle, which in turn stitches the cord down to the fabric with transparent zigzag stitches. These are relatively simple, low-stitch-count designs featuring lots of swirls and curves. Different widths of cording are available to provide a wide range of looks.

Embroidery Tip

  • A fact of embroidery is that eventually, for various reasons, you’ll run into situations when you have to remove stitches. Use Peggy’s Stitch Eraser on the back of your embroidery and then use duct tape to pull away the top stitching.
